Minka is a volunteer with Badger Supports and is majoring in Genetics and Genomics with a certificate in Folklore. She is interested in exploring what makes us human through our genes, cultures, and behaviors.

Minka first connected with Badger Supports during an Adopt a Plant event while at the Student Activity Center for WSUM Student Radio. Inspired by the organization’s welcoming and supportive community, she joined Badger Supports to help students find creative ways to de-stress and connect with their peers. She previously served as a WUD Cooking Workshops Assistant Director, where she developed a passion for using engaging, hands-on activities to support student mental health and well-being.

In her free time, Minka enjoys baking, especially brownies, water sports, hiking near Raymer’s Cove, and photography. She also enjoys spending time with friends and can often be found studying in the Student Activity Center, College Library, or WSUM Lakeview Room.
