Ava Hammen is a Peer Facilitator with Badger Supports, where she facilitates peer-support groups and campus workshops focused on mental health, active listening, and student well-being. 

Ava is a pre-nursing major, with future career aspirations of becoming a pediatric nurse. She is also pursuing a certificate in global health studies. Ava is interested in helping and providing support to others with her future career, which is why she decided to go into nursing. 

Ava has been involved in a variety of mental health events, and has hopes to provide her support to her peers on campus. She is hoping to use her own personal experiences to help others going through difficult times. 

Ava loves to do anything active, and enjoys spending time outdoors. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and friends.
