Reese Mengwasser is a Wellness & Support Coordinator and Peer Facilitator for Badger Supports. In this role, she helps support student-facing wellness and peer support efforts across the organization, including facilitator development, program follow-through, and the use of consistent peer support practices. Reese helps ensure Badger Supports’ programs are welcoming, organized, and grounded in student care.
Reese is a Neurobiology and Psychology major interested in the intersection of biology and psychology. She hopes to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology after her undergraduate studies.
Reese has been involved in mental health organizations since her freshman year and is also a Recruitment Chair for Badger SPILL. She enjoys helping create community on campus and having a direct impact on her peers.
When not in class, Reese can often be found working in her neuroscience and psychology lab, the Niedenthal Emotions Lab, supporting research on emotion and social interaction, including how smiles and laughter shape social regulation. In her free time, she enjoys running, spending time with friends and family, and trying new cafes in Madison.
