Lucy Heideman is the Managing Director and Director of Programs for Badger Supports. She leads the organization’s day-to-day operations, overseeing all programming and wellness efforts. In her dual role, she also leads the development of Badger Support's workshops, craft nights, and peer-led activities that help students feel heard, connected, and supported.
Lucy is a Communication Arts major on the Rhetorical Studies track, pursuing certificates in Digital Studies and Gender & Women's Studies. Lucy is interested in writing, video production, design, and social media marketing, especially within the arts, music, and theatre.
Lucy learned to support fellow students through Hope Squad, a peer-to-peer suicide prevention initiative. She is trained in the QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) crisis intervention method.
Lucy is a lifelong lover of music and currently sings in UW-Madison's Chorale. Her bucket list includes visiting all of America's National Parks (she's been to 31 and counting)! Lucy also loves to hike, perform onstage, make art, and shop at antique stores.
